Medal record information sheet

Each medal record lists them in order of progression

(although 1 dance medals can be taken in any order).

 

The numbers of routines required remains the same once you reach the Gold medal onwards,

But the required number of figures danced and standard of dancing increases.

 

·         One dance candidates receive a plaque with an appropriate disc depicting the dance and an engraved plate.

·         Bronze medalists receive a wooden stand bearing an engraved plate, and space to fix the bronze, silver & gold medals.

·         1st and 2nd Gold Bar awards are wooden shields, and 3rd gold bars are statuettes.

·         IDTA Star 1 is a wooden shield with a star affixed and room for stars 2, 3 ,4 & 5.  Candidates who have all five stars receive the Five Star Gold Cup.

·         President’s Awards 1, 2, 3 and 4 are silver cups in ascending sizes mounted on marble bases.

·         International Awards 1,2 and 3 receive large gilt cups, the 4th is a decorated column trophy.

·         International Supreme Awards 1, 2, 3 and 4 are etched and mounted shields in ascending size with medals.

·         Awards are not issued for International Supreme Certificates – the number of these taken is unrestricted

 

Attainment bands for medals

 

·          U  - Unsuccessful                less than 65%

·          P   - Pass                            65-74%

·          C   - Commended               75-84%

·         HC - Highly Commended     85-89%

·          H   - Honours                      90% & above

·          C  - Cha Cha Cha   

·          R  - Rumba

·          S  - Samba

·          J  - Jive

·          P  - Paso Doble

·         W – Waltz

·          Q – Quickstep

·          F – Foxtrot

·          T – Tango

·          V – Viennese Waltz
