Blackpool
Blackpool has of course a famous dance history and although is a long way from home, attending an event here is worth it just for the overall atmosphere. Typically well organised, the events take place in the Winter Gardens which in itself is well worth seeing.
The Blackpool events are the Nationwide finals so to dance here you need to have qualified at a Nationwide Qualifiers event in May for Freestyle and Rock and Roll or October/November for Ballroom and Latin. Only 12 from each age group are chosen and the places are fiercely fought for so to be awarded a place in the Blackpool finals is a huge achievement.
